IGCSE Examination Timeline for Grade 9 Students

To: Parents/Guardians of Current Grade 9 Students Dear Parents/Guardians, We would like to inform you of an important update regarding the IGCSE examination timeline for current Grade 9 students. Following thorough discussions involving subject teachers, department heads, and the Academic Management Team—and after a careful review of the students' academic progress—it has been determined that completing the full Cambridge IGCSE syllabus within two academic years is not feasible for this cohort. Given the extensive syllabus content and the limited instructional time remaining, it would be impractical to fully prepare students for the IGCSE examinations by the end of the next academic year. Therefore, the school will revert to its previous practice of a three-year preparation timeline. This approach will allow sufficient time for comprehensive instruction and effective exam readiness. Looking ahead, the school plans to implement a two-year IGCSE preparation model starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, based on insights gained from the current experience.
